“I turn the things you see on Instagram and TikTok into things you own, no app, no search, no waiting. You get the link in seconds.”
Before we start
“A brand is something you carry forever. Either it builds you, or you burn yourself on the internet. We are taking the first road.”
You are 27, born in São Paulo, building in New York. Stanford engineering. A Facebook internship project you presented to Zuckerberg in person. A crypto fund, a quant fund, a first e-commerce built out of a high school bedroom, and a payments company you ran for two years before this one.
Now there is Cartsy: a shopping agent that lives inside Instagram and TikTok. Someone forwards a post, and seconds later they know exactly what the product is and how to get it. No app to download. No search bar. No creator tagging ten products first.
You already have a content engine running with creators, but that engine promotes the product. Nobody is telling the story of who built it and why it should be trusted. That is the gap.
And there is the honest part: you are a private person. Your profile photo is AI generated on purpose. You told me plainly that if putting your face out there is what makes this work, then the face goes out there and we find out. That tension is not a weakness in the strategy. It is the strategy. And that is what we are going to build together.
Section 01
Let us be direct, because transparency is the base of any partnership that works.
You have the rarest kind of founder résumé and no window for it. Right now it only benefits people who already know you. Three bottlenecks are holding the brand back.
The window is open right now. Your main competitor built 300 thousand followers on two famous last names and a podcast, and just spent its trust with a public controversy. That leaves an opening for the founder who leads with proof instead of personality: the guy who shows the product working, on a real post, in real time. Whoever takes that position first becomes the reference. Whoever arrives later fights for scraps. That is the arm I bring. You focus on Cartsy. The content runs.

Section 02
My name is Malu Buss and I run Velvora Media. For almost 4 years I have been positioning, growing and managing personal and company brands on social media.
I am not an operational social media manager. I am a brand and content strategist: I define the strategy, coordinate the creative team, implement the process and make sure the founder's vision reaches the world with the quality and frequency that produce results.
The team dedicated to your project: me (strategy and curation), a copywriter (scripts and captions), my designer (visual pieces, carousels, identity) and my video editor (reels, cuts, captions, motion). One team focused on your brand.
The difference between me and an operational social media manager: you do not have to explain to me what brand positioning is, what a counter narrative is, or why proof beats a pitch for a consumer product. We study the ecosystem, define the strategy, the scripts, the design and the editing, and hand you a finished calendar. You show up, record, and the content runs.

Video is the format that will carry your brand: direct to camera, product in action, New York in the background. Below, real reels produced for clients as a reference for aesthetic, pacing and finish.

Section 03
This is not a posting package. It is the complete digital presence: strategy, creative execution and editorial intelligence.
Section 04 | Brand Personality
Tone of voice is what makes someone read a caption and know it is yours before seeing the name. Archetype: the Magician (transformation made instant, send a post and get the product) delivered as the Everyman (a guy in New York figuring it out, not a mystic selling a vision). Magic without ceremony.
| Raul's voice IS | Raul's voice IS NOT |
|---|---|
| Direct and unpolished | Corporate and rehearsed |
| Confident about the product | Arrogant about himself |
| Curious, discovering alongside the audience | Lecturing from above |
| Plain American English | VC speak or startup jargon |
| Showing the work | Announcing the vision |
Section 05
Each line builds one facet of the brand and occupies the mental category of “the founder who shows you the receipts.” Lines 1 and 2 are the reach engine, 3 and 4 build trust and proximity, 5 and 6 give the feed human texture.
| # | Editorial line | Role | Speaks to |
|---|---|---|---|
| 01 | Send Me Your Hardest Find | Proof by demonstration | Broad consumer audience (most viral) |
| 02 | Building in New York | Proximity and routine | Young urban audience + early adopters |
| 03 | Building While Private | The camera shy founder, honest and funny | Everyone (highest relatability) |
| 04 | Founder, Not Guru | Real stakes, told without jargon | Early adopters + founders |
| 05 | The Things I Actually Buy | Personal taste as product proof | Shoppers, the actual buyer |
| 06 | NYC on the Side | Human texture, keeps the feed from being all product | Everyone |
Line 01 is the engine: it builds proof and a submission habit at the same time, and it is the fastest path from “who is this guy” to “I am going to try that.” Line 05 folds fashion, watches, gadgets and interior design into demonstrations, so personal taste and product proof become the same piece of content.
Section 06
Beyond recurring content, strategic campaigns give the brand traction. Both of these run inside the first 90 days, which is exactly the window that ends at demo day.
A weekly series where followers submit the most impossible to find product post they have. You solve each one on camera in real time. It is the fastest path from “who is this guy” to “I am going to try that,” and it builds a submission habit before the app launch.
A short arc counting down to the a16z demo day: the unglamorous work, the late nights, the product iterations, the real uncertainty. Audiences respond to stakes that polished founder content hides. The deadline is real, so the tension is real.
Section 07
Expected start: August 2026.
What this requires from you
What we need:
| Activity | Estimated time |
|---|---|
| Filming session (with scripts ready) | per session |
| Alignment (call or WhatsApp audio) | 30 min per week |
| Content approval | 15 to 20 min per week |
| Sending photos and behind the scenes to the shared album | as your routine allows |
Your time investment: minimal. The rest is on us.
Investment
Your personal brand is the cheapest acquisition channel Cartsy has available right now, and the only one that compounds. Owned attention keeps working after the round closes, which paid creators do not.
Initial 12 month contract, with a minimum commitment of the first 3 months of implementation and base building.
After the first 3 months, cancellation is possible with 30 days notice.
Values do not include paid traffic, website or landing page creation, event production or media buying.

FAQ
It becomes the hook. “Building While Private” is an editorial line precisely because a reluctant founder is more believable than a comfortable one. You are not performing confidence, you are showing the work. And the scripts are written so you never have to improvise on camera.
That is what the first 14 days are for: how you talk, what irritates you, what excites you. We adjust in the first pieces, and by the second month you read a caption and think you wrote it. That happened with Finch, with Miguel, and with every project I run.
That is the whole calibration. The content is written for the young, mobile first American audience Cartsy is built for, not for tech Twitter. Founders and early adopters will find it anyway, because they always do, but they are not who we write for.
The model was designed for a busy founder: scripts 100% ready, you show up, record, and go back to the product. The rest of your time is minimal, between alignment and approvals.
A quick call to approve the editorial lines, the brand axis and confirm the start. Send me the best time.
